Soothing Interior For Your Study

Aquiet study room has its own beauty. The quietness must not only be in terms of noise. Just when you look around in the study room, a quietness and sense of contemplation must be brought in your heart. A study room is an important place. They say we are students of life. Study rooms are then, more or less, your world. Whether you are a student in school, university or have a profession that dema
ds erudite learning such as law, the study room is where you will spend a lot of constructive hours. The interior of the room must be such that attracts you and does not bore you. Keep a window seat I have often seen it myself that a seat near the window helps in studying. Of course, a lot depends to the view from your window! You wouldn’t want something that distracts you. If you happen to live very high like on the eight floor, or if you happen to live to find a window in your study room looking at the garden- these are just fine. A view now and then from the top floors or occasional looks from your book into the greenery may help rejuvenate your soul. In your entire study room, it is expected you will have more than one chair table. For your laptop, printers, etc, keep them neatly at one corner. Having a seat near the window also means you will have plenty of daylight into your room while studying. However, if you are directly facing the sun- you may need to make few adjustments to keep the heat away! Light colour on walls The colours on the wall should be light and soothing to look at. Once in a while, some work of brown, red, blue, green, etc according to your room’s features are fine but you may not like to keep looking into ultra bright orange walls or looming red walls. Study shows that the colour of the walls in your house has dramatic effect on your mood. So keep the colours in the study room light and relaxing. Pristine, not prosaic A lot of students find the word “study” already boring. Monotonous details in the study room will further add this word in their hate list. Keep the details interesting, not boring. Work with patterns when and where you can. If it is a kid’s study room, a lot of features of nature, animals, etc may seem fun. It will help the child to keep on coming again and again. He or she will also develop a certain interest in studying for such a fine room! Work with lights and lamps Keep the room well illuminated. Artistic lights, lanterns, lamps add a different dimension here. Lamps do not only serve as interior decorations but also enlighten the room during the evening hours in a magical way. Neat libraries One thing particular about every study room anywhere in the globe is books! Although now we are in the age of laptops, books are still irreplaceable. You can make a small library inside your study room. Keep the books of fiction far away from your usual place of studying so that you do not keep on getting tempted to read for fun rather than read for education.
